Privacy policy.
How SMAPIT collects, uses and protects information from visitors, brief submissions and clients across India, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This is a public-facing privacy policy that reflects how the studio operates. It is not tailored legal advice. If you are a client concluding an MSA or a large contract, the substantive terms live in the signed engagement letter, and any jurisdiction-specific compliance obligations should be reviewed with your own counsel before signing.
What we collect.
SMAPIT only collects information you actively give us or that is required to serve the site.
Contact and brief submissions
When you submit the contact form or email hello@smapit.in, we receive the fields you fill in: name, work email, company or brand, project scope, budget range and any notes you attach. Reference files you send with the brief are stored only as long as needed to scope, quote and deliver the work.
Site analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and understand which pages perform. No personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies. If you use a modern browser with tracking protection, nothing here breaks.
Cookies
First-party cookies only, used for basic session and preference handling. We do not set third-party advertising or retargeting cookies from this site.
How we use what you send us.
- To reply to your brief with scope, timeline and a fixed quote.
- To deliver the work you commission (including invoicing and file transfer).
- To keep records for tax, accounting and standard commercial obligations.
- To reach out about your project or renewal, only if you have engaged us.
What we do not do: sell your data to third parties, use client briefs to train third-party AI models, share client files with unrelated vendors, or send unsolicited marketing to inbound enquirers.
How long we keep it.
Contact form submissions we do not act on are deleted from the inbox within 12 months. Delivered project files (source scenes, PBR textures, final renders) are kept for the project lifecycle plus a maximum of 3 years for reference and re-render, unless the engagement letter specifies otherwise. Financial records are retained per Indian tax law.
Your rights.
Depending on where you are based (India DPDPA, EU GDPR, California CCPA / CPRA, UAE), you have some or all of the following rights over information we hold about you.
- The right to know what we hold and why.
- The right to correct inaccurate information.
- The right to have your information deleted (subject to legal record-keeping requirements).
- The right to withdraw consent for processing at any time.
- The right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email hello@smapit.in with the subject line “Data request” and enough detail for us to locate your records.
